We are very grateful for donations of all sizes! Private gifts provide important support for the library's programs and materials. To mail a donation, please send your check to  the Clarkesville Library, 178 E. Green St., Clarkesville, GA 30523.

Honor a family member or friend with a donation

When you donate money toward new books for the library, we will be happy to place a book plate in the front of each book purchased in honor of yourself or a loved one.

Used Book Donations

We gratefully accept donations used books, DVDs, and CDs in good condition. Donated materials may be added to our collection or sold in our Friends of the Library Book Sales to raise money for the library. Donations may be dropped off at the front desk during our normal business hours.


We need your help! We are looking for volunteers to assist with shelving, helping with children's programs, and other tasks in the library. If you are interested, please stop by and fill out a volunteer application. You may also download the Volunteer Application or the Teen Volunteer Application and bring the completed form in to the library. The Friends of the Clarkesville Library is a group which works year-round to raise funds for the library through book sales and fundraisers. Join the Friends of the Library to help support this group! Please                     for a membership form. Friends of the Library is also looking for volunteers to help with book sales and events.
